In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in Nigeria showcased varied trends, as revealed by data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps, developed by Google, maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at over 12.7K in late July and staying consistent around 12K throughout the quarter. Its weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 371K in early July and closing at approximately 374K by the end of September.

GPS Camera with Time Stamp by Truong Nguyen saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, especially in July, reaching a high of 1.6K. Active users experienced growth, starting at 497 and reaching 3K in early September before slightly tapering off towards the end of the quarter.

Google Earth also from Google, had a surge in weekly downloads mid-September, climbing to 2.7K. Active users mirrored this trend, rising from 3.9K in August to over 9.1K in mid-September, indicating a significant engagement increase.
